Hope & Trust is proud to partner with Global Partners in Peace and Development (GPPD), a US-based charity founded in 2003. GPPD works in partnership with trusted local organisations like ours in different parts of the world like to bring meaningful, lasting change to communities around the world.
We have welcomed volunteers from GPPD who have served with us short term in our office and some who have gone on trips to Dohuk to help us with the Yazidi community. We also welcome visiting teams from GPPD from time to time.
Since 2008, GPPD has supported our work both in Jordan and Iraq to bring hope for better future for refugees. They also assist us with key administrative functions, including acting as a secure giving platform for donations. All donations from a USA account are tax deductible.

ST. PAUL’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, ASHRAFIEH, JORDAN
For a number of years now we have been in partnership with St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Jordan. Many refugees from Iraq and Syria have found a loving community who has supported them and their children. We have helped them with Food Coupon distribution during Easter and Christmas with a small gift for each child. We have helped and encouraged a group of ladies in cooking skills.
We are looking for volunteers short term or long term to help with this program to help the ladies acquire more skills in this field.

WHY NOW AFTER 11 YEARS?
Imagine not knowing what has happened to your daughter and son that were taken when ISIS came and attacked your home. Imagine waiting these long days that have turned into years.
ISIS came and decimated thousands of people’s lives. They killed without mercy, boys taken to become soldiers and girls to satisfy the men. They are still active and the latest figures suggest they are holding over 2500 people. This is a darkness that covered their land.
Hope and Trust have for years striven to bring light and hope to the yazidi people but we need your help. We are looking to set up a de-radicalisation program, led and run by trained local people, including a yazidi psychiatrist.
